Simple, rich, and quietly comforting — Cacao Bean is a fragrance-free tallow balm made for those who appreciate thoughtfully sourced ingredients and an uncomplicated approach to skincare.

Crafted from beef fat sourced from small Wisconsin farmers and processors, the tallow is carefully rendered and blended into balm in small batches using traditional ingredient craftsmanship. Each batch is also made with fair trade cacao butter and U.S. harvested beeswax and lanolin, creating a smooth, velvety balm with a rich, substantial texture.

With no added fragrance, Cacao Bean carries only the naturally subtle aroma of cacao butter — soft, warm, and faintly chocolatey without added perfumes or scent blends. Understated and gentle, the light cacao character comes directly from the ingredients themselves.

Rooted in regional sourcing, small-batch production, and carefully selected materials, Cacao Bean brings together thoughtfully selected materials from farm, hive, and workshop into a straightforward formula with timeless appeal.

*Balms have an inner dome cover that will need to be removed prior to use. Please keep this cover if you plan on refilling.

Refillable Containers and Refill Cubes
Refilling your container is easy! Save the inner dome cover when first using your balm. When your balm stick has reached the end, remove any remaining balm from the top "wheel." Reset the wheel to the base of the container by turning in the opposite direction (If the wheel has come off, hold it in place while twisting the base in the opposite direction to re-thread it). Place the saved dome cover on top, screw the lid on, and turn the container upside-down. Pry off the clear cover on the bottom, ensuring any remaining balm is cleared from the openings in the wheels. Melt refill cubes, along with any left over balm if desired, in a double boiler or a small dish in the microwave in 10 second increments, stirring frequently. When the refill cube(s) are melted, pour into the upside-down container. Leave container upside-down until cool and fully solidified. Replace the bottom cove. Your balm is ready to use again!
